Harvard Ups Financial Aid for Low-Income Students

Harvard University has upped to $65,000 the family income level at which students will not need to pay anything to attend the institution. In 2004, Harvard revamped its aid program, and said that students with family income below $40,000 would not need to pay anything. That figure was increased two years later to $60,000.

Forbes’ 2011 College Ranking Announced
The Forbes list is interesting because it “focuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt.” Plus the data is collected, analyzed and compiled by the independent think tank Center for College Affordability and Productivity, in Washington, D.C., founded by long-time affordability advocate, Ohio University economist Richard Vedder.
